    Yes, the state of Maryland provides several programs to help Maryland residents pay for educational expenses. The Howard P. Rawlings Guaranteed Access Grant program provides support to academically qualified Maryland students with financial need to help cover the cost of full-time study at a Maryland college or university. The Howard P. Rawlings Educational Assistance Grant is another need-based award from the State of Maryland intended to help cover the cost of full-time study at a Maryland college or university. The Part-Time Grant is for part-time, degree-seeking undergraduates and students who are simultaneously enrolled in a secondary school and an institution of higher education. Recipients must demonstrate financial need. In addition, there are several legislative, merit-based and career-based scholarship programs available to Maryland residents.
